The past year has certainly seen some fantastic developments and results. Members can take pride in the numerous success stories in winning the war against unwanted mitosis.
Now's the time to bring everyone together with our current knowledge on "thriving" cancers.
As most of you will know we accelerated our information and counselling service after the Department of Health published the detailed study on cancer services in England which set out offical policy, for the period 2011-15, in the paper, "Improving Outcomes: A Strategy for Cancer". Available on the Internet.
The NAO reported that in 2008-9, 130,000 people died prematurely, of these 18,000 were over 75 years of age, only 255,000 diagnosed, 1.8M cancer survivors living beyond five years. Cancer causes 28% of all deaths after heart disease and strokes. Frightening statistics. More details in this HM Coalition Govt's DH England publication.
Miss Amber Rudd MP for Hastings and Rye conferred with Mr Paul Burstow MP, Minister of Health, on our behalf. Both acknowledged that the medical handbook / coursebook, "Delivery from Cancer" is a valuable contribution to aid patients and their families in choosing an available therapy; enabling too a useful discussion with their doctors.
The consequences of short term success with many chemopeutic and ionised radiation therapies invariably bring about unpleasant side effects. Also they bring about 10% further mutations especially with breast cancer with there being at least ten pathways requiring multiple and expensive drugs. For most doctors and their patients it is a case of "try this, try that". A shot in the dark. Knowing that only two thirds will get through the "five year gate" is a worry. UK is only 22nd on the world's "success" list in getting past this stage.
The alternative with phytotherapy is steadily showing long-term reduction and maintenance with tumours shrinking rapidly within two months or so and metastasising secondary cancers being brought under a degree of control. No claims are being made just observation and results. Professor John Beard, 1902 would have been proud to know that his work has brought a great deal success, relief and comfort to so many people. He did not have the resources to understand fully what he had discovered. We really started by aiming at early unwanted mitosis. Having studied environmental and inheritance factors and connected these with mutuating genetic pathways the scale of the problem seemed immense.
The problem was like a jigsaw with permutations beyond imagination. In 1997 the scientific team made a breakthrough; read about this in "Delivery from Cancer".
DH England, guidance has been given for our acknowledged counselling services conditionally that these are promoted through the medical profession. It is classified as a complementary approach in dealing with unwanted mitosis, cancer stem cell control and for the strengthening of the immune system.
In effect it is a "trypsin support system" for our aging metabolisms using a variety of non-herbal fruit. Currently, red grapes, blueberries, mandarins and blackberries; 25kg produces a daily 280 mg of methoxylated resveratrol (m-res). Trypsin digests protein cancer cell walls, which are thirteen times thicker than normal cells, into essential amino acids. These are chemical products that the body needs to develop healthily. When trypsin gets used up and there is too little left over for cancer cell destruction, you've guessed, unwanted mitosis sets in and accelerates. (2-4-8-16-32- .......)
During our eleven years of trials more than 350 people have derived benefit. Six people came far too late and their demise was already set but at least surprisingly palliative control shown with phyto was a bonus. They perked up, ... just smiled. They and their families have expressed their appreciation in many ways. This development is remarkable. Just access the sixteen Case Histories st out in the Open Letter. Send for access.
Our job satisfaction has been a reward in itself ! It shows that there is a great deal more to learn and to do. The first lesson, is patience and persistence with a sense of discipline.
CPS is not involved with medicines, herbs nor any drugs. We abide by the Cancer Act 1939 and the subsequent Medicines Acts along with all EU Regulations governing health matters, as a matter of discipline. You probably know as has been reported in earlier Newsletters that Johnson & Johnson Inc and GlaxoSmithKline Inc are developing analogues of the various fruits we deploy. Several patents have been applied for claiming destruction and control of unwanted mitosis, stemming pre-neuro degenerative conditions and calorie restriction in the control of diabetes 2. The story just goes on! Read all about the work too at the Harvard Medical School led by Professor David Sinclair.
We would not be in a position of being able to do our work if it wasn't for the following team leaders and their research scientists. If you visit the Internet you will find that 26 research institutions at the last count are involved in verifying the effects of fruit colouring which is scientifically and generically referred to as methoxylated resveratrol (m-res). More health benefits are being revealed all the time. The 2nd Resveratrol Conference at University of Leicester December 2012 was a revelation. The next conference is arranged . Come to Hawaii December 2014....
How did we start? A question asked so many times ... after reading Professor Al Baldwin's results on tyrosine kinase at the University of North Carolina, in July 2000 we were introduced to Professor Gerry Potter, Professor of Medicinal Chemistry, De Montfort University, Leicester. (Recall, Gerry put together the drug abiraterone now on early NICE release for the NHS helping to overcome prostate cancer). Then the bonus of having Professor Dan Burke's results, Aberdeen and Durham Universities. Dan is Emeritus Professor of Pharmaceutical Metabolism. He has over all these years been our mentor. Danny described their work as being beyond the effectiveness of antioxidants. Their teams produced the fruit analogue published in 2010 as US Patent Application, DMU-212. This is truly understanding of cancer and nutritional research at its zenith.
Surely the next ten or so years will produce further remarkable results and hopefully be generally prescribed. Details of the immediate teams and their members are set out in "Delivery from Cancer". The publication provides a list of scientific papers. The first was in the British Cancer Journal 2002:86 pps 774-8. The fruit extract is available now.
During the past year we placed an objection to the ridiculous policy decision not to build three proton beam therapy units in England. The good news now is that our HM Coalition Government has reviewed the need and has approved the construction of two units at £23M each, ready for use in 2017 at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and The Christie NHS Foundation Trust Hospital, Manchester. The proton beam therapy programme is set to run a budget of £250M. This is an area where phytotherapy provides a useful follow-up in stemming metastases. There are nine units operational in the USA with six more under construction.
However the vast increase in funding for GPs to dispense for early cancer diagnosis has not materialised. The promise was for an increase from now, £10M in 2011 to £110m by 2015. This is so important. For an example, so many prostate cancers are benign but if monitored and shown to be so then the drastic surgical procedures which oncologists carry out, "just in case", are just not warranted. Early diagnosis starts with everyone being aware that it is essential to report changes in the body to their GP - no hesitation!
Re-stating our objective set down all those years ago and still valid: We must prepare our bodies at an early stage so that carcinogenesis is kept fully under control.
Our cancer stem cells, from conception plus 56 days, initiate tumours through mutational and environmental events changing normal cells into "zombies". As mentioned above cancer cells grow thick cell walls, generally about thirteen times thicker than normal healthy cells, then these close down the mitochondria which have then been deprived of oxygen. Mitochondria produce energy and essential chemicals. Cancer cells are merely anaerobic "breweries" producing lactic acid, thriving on sugar including white bread, dividing wantonly without any control and dis-allowing normal healthy cyclic apoptosis (cell death). Most chemotherapy treatments invariably cannot cope with cancer stem cells. Chemo demolishes healthy cells in the vicinity of the tumour, hence the side effects such as temporary hair loss, pain and distressing nausea. As said above, chemo too is responsible for causing further mutations in about ten per cent of procedures. Breast cancer is determined by at least ten different mutating pathways so chemopeutic treatments become complex, hazardous and as we all know, very costly.. The blunderbus approach is startingly unsatisfactory.
Recall the secret! In so far as is known every cancer cell contains the unique enzyme CYP1B1 which normal cells don't. When consumed on regular daily basis as part a well-balanced diet the fruit colouring resveratrol is then changed into a cytotoxin such as piceatannol. This disables the cancer cell which is then incapable of unwanted mitosis. The fruit extract can now stay bio-available for five hours; that's a breakthrough through methoxylation! In the early days resveratrol did not work very well. It was too easily digested and lost. Piceatannol is nearly extinct in the natural world, elusive, thus it is difficult to locate and harvest if at all. Healthy cells derive benefit from the antioxidant properties of resveratrol. Improvements are being heralded all of the time through ongoing development and discovery at so many universities and research establishments throughout the world.
This Newsletter is but a brief outline. If you are new to the subject, just get in touch. The Cancer Phytotherapy Service provides regular updates whereby you can learn so much which may be useful to everyone concerned. Send for past Newsletters which can be sent with "Delivery from Cancer".
Cancer phytotherapy is so straight forward; so we ask, "Why were the earlier discoveries discarded?"
